SIP-AFI 2008-09 will try to address the disparity between, on the one hand, the political ambition to make working life including, and, on the other hand, what seems to be an inertial tendency when it comes to systematic diversity awareness and management in the Norwegian labour market. Our point of departure will not be strengths and weaknesses of the Nordic model, but what employers, managers and business interests view as influencing their recruitment and retention strategies, and how, if at all, the new anti discrimination regulatory approaches affect their decisions.
